According to "Star Clusters", by Brent Archinal and Steven Hynes, the size of this open cluster is 10 arc minutes. From the NGC / IC Project: Contemporary Visual Observation(s) for NGC 1960 NGC 1960 = M36 = Cr 71 05 36 18 +34 08.5 V = 6.0; Size 12 8": very bright, large, loose, includes two curving star lanes.
