Notes: This interesting group is a bit small for my focal length (~1000mm). NGC 5754 is centered. The galaxy with the faint twisted arms above N 5754 is NGC 5755 (0.8', 16.0 mag, Cl: SBd), the small galaxy above that is NGC 5753 (0.6 ' x 0.5', 15.7 mag, Cl: --). The little companion at the end of NGC 5754's arm is NGC 5752 (0.8' x 0.4', 16.6 mag, Cl: Sb). A very faint tidal tail stretches away from N 5754/5752 to the West (right).

17.5": brightest in a compact quartet.  Fairly faint, fairly small, slightly 
elongated WNW-ESE, 1.0'x0.8', gradually brighter halo, small bright core.  Forms 
an interacting pair with N5752 1.1' W.  The N5753/N5755 pair lies 4' N and 3' 
NNE, respectively.

N5754, discovered by WH as III 687, is the brightest in a close group of four 
galaxies.  This quartet consists of two double systems N5752/5754 and 
N5753/5755, the first of these pairs being the more southernly.  These pairings 
agree with the descriptions and positions given by Lord Rosse on the 1878, Apr 1 
observation of the quartet and were used by Dreyer in the NGC.  RNGC has 
confused the identities of N5753 and N5754, hence the positions and new 
descriptions for these two entries should be reversed.  The correct 
identifications are given in UGC and MCG.  Listed in RNGC Corrections #2.

17.5": last of four in a the N5754 quartet.  Very faint, small, round, 25" 
diameter, even surface brightness.  A mag 13 star lies 1' SE.  Forms a close 
pair with N5753 1.9' NW and the N5752/5754 pair is just 3' SSW.

17.5": extremely faint, very small, round, visible with averted vision only.  
Forms a pair with N5755 1.9' SE.  In a quartet with the N5752/N5754 pair 4' S.

Discovered by Lord Rosse in the N5754 quartet.  His offsets clearly identify the 
discoveries.  The identifications of N5753 and N5754 are reversed in RNGC 
although the correct identifications are given in UGC and MCG.  See RNGC 
Corrections #2.

diameter, round, averted vision only.  In a tight group with N5754 1.1' E and
