and Steven Hynes, the size of this open cluster is 6.0 arc
minutes. From the NGC / IC Project: Contemporary Visual Observation(s) for NGC 6830 NGC 6830 = Cr 406 = Mel 224 = Lund 908 19 50 59 +23 06.0 V = 7.9; Size 12 17.5": 30-35 stars in the central 5' diameter. Most stars are mag 11-12 and arranged in two rows forming a rough "X" shape. The richest group is at the NW corner and a very faint group is off the SW corner.
