| Notes: | This little cluster (centered) is not that interesting itself, but
the two dark patches on either side made an interesting field. To the
West (right), and fairly obvious, is TGU
HJ838 P6 at about 5.0' in diameter, and to the East (left) is
LDN 1312 at about 15' x 10' in size. Data
from these two Dark Nebulae are from the CDS (neither were in my
charting software, Megastar v5.0.12), found via the
Aladin previewer
(just type in Stock 3 in the "Target" field, click on the hyperlinked
"Stock 3", and
set the "query around" field for 30 minutes).
According to "Star Clusters", by Brent Archinal and Steven Hynes, the size of Stock 3 is 5.0 arc minutes |
